Here are the books I’ve read so far this summer and there are still 6 more weeks to go! π
- The Pecan Man – Cassie Dandridge Selleck
- The Light Between Oceans: A Novel – M.L. Stedman
- Half Broke Horses: A True-Life Novel – Jeannette Walls
- Lisey’s Story: A Novel – Stephen King
- Born to Run – Christopher McDougall – Loved, Loved, LOVED this book. SO well written as well as informative and entertaining.
- Circling the Sun: A Novel – Paula McLain – FANTASTIC book. True story too. π
- Once We Were Brothers – Ronald H. Balson – Pretty good.
- The Good Neighbor – A. J. Banner – Meh. The story wasn’t fleshed out enough to be compelling.
- Trail of Broken Wings – Sejal Badani
- The Running Man – Stephen King, Richard Bachman – Eerie in retrospect.
- Summer Island – Kristin Hannah
- The Lake (The Lake Series, Book 1) – AnnaLisa Grant – UGH. Terrible. I should have checked the category before purchasing.
- The Cuckoo’s Calling (Cormoran Strike Book 1) – Robert Galbraith – Disappointing. Purchased because ‘Robert Galbraith’ is actually J.K. Rowling. For a ‘thriller’, I found it fairly tedious and lacking in action.
- Riding Lessons – Sara Gruen
- Go Set a Watchman: A Novel – Harper Lee – The ‘it’ book of the summer was just OK. I re-read To Kill a Mockingbird before it was released and the twain shall never meet.
- The Shape of Mercy: A Novel – Susan Meissner
- At the Water’s Edge: A Novel – Sara Gruen
- The Nightingale – Kristin Hannah
- The Bazaar of Bad Dreams: Stories – Stephen King (advance order)
- Finders Keepers: A Novel – Stephen King
- Station Eleven – Emily St. John Mandel
- Stories (The greatest masterpieces of Russian literature) (Illustrated) – Anton Pavlovich Chekhov
- FAULKNER READER – William Faulkner
- Utopia – Sir Saint Thomas More
- Firefly Lane – Kristin Hannah
- The Complete Stories (FSG Classics) – Flannery O’Connor, Robert Giroux
- The Ten Thousand Things – Maria Dermout, Hans Koning
- Outlander: A Novel (Outlander, Book 1) – Diana Gabaldon
- The Winner – David Baldacci
- 12 Month Passive Income Plan: How to Quit Your Job in 364 Days With Online Passive Income – Russ Banister, Peter Koning
- Absolute Power – David Baldacci
- Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail (Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 1) – Cheryl Strayed
- The Dead Key – D. M. Pulley
- Elizabeth Street – Laurie Fabiano
