Our pre-Canada Day party in 2006 was so much fun that Ed and I decided to do it again this year.
Everyone on the street was invited and were asked to proudly sport “CANADIAN colors on your sleeve… hat, shirt, face” and as you can see by the picture, it was a festive celebration in red and white.
There were hamburgers, brats and a selection of fine domestic beers for the grownups; hot dogs, pop and munchies for the kiddies — and our fine guests chipped in all manner of salads, desserts and other accoutrements.
We’re already planning the 3rd annual Pre- Canada Day party for 2008; although next time we’ll probably avoid having to cook or barbeque – so we can spend more time with our wonderful neighbours.
Any ideas?
Oh ya… and that’s me with a Canadian flag napkin wrapped around a can of something decidedly Canadian (beer) before the party started.
I’ve uploaded more Canada Day Party pictures to Flickr. If you have some to share from the party, please get in touch!
