How do you know if the products you buy have a big carbon footprint?
Enter Sourcemap, a volunteer-driven project that shares information about where manufacturers source their supplies.
I checked the “Objects with a high carbon footprints” under Featured Collections, and found this information about a Nova Scotia cabinet maker.
When I clicked the link, I saw where all their materials were coming from as shown in the next screenshot.
The SourceMap project is relatively new, but it will be very interesting to see how it grows in scope as more people think twice about how what they buy affects our environment.
