I’m not sure whether it was due to the cold and wet weather we had this winter, or in spite of it, but the Arizona wildflowers are showing up in abundance in the spring of 2019.
Starting in January I saw the odd lupine and poppy on the trails in McDowell Mountain Regional Park where we spend part of the winter, but now, in mid-March, the display is, in fact, absolutely spectacular.
I just wish my pictures of the Arizona wildflowers were as spectacular. 🙂
Gotta love the desert lupines which are happy to reach a foot tall. Back home in the British Columbia mountains they grow to 4 feet tall.
