Way to go Ros!
Keep up the good work & be nicotine free.
I have already saved over £1100 since 8th of March.
The best ever gift I have ever given to myself.
I did it cold turkey & it wasn’t as easy as having an e-cigarette
to occupy my hands & delude my mind into believing that I smoke a real
cigarette.
I am happy for you, let us know how your progress goes.
All the best :o)

Congratulations, Kazooli. And you’re right about the ‘best gift’. I quit for 2.5 years then started again in 2006. Can’t wait to be over it for once and for all.

I miss the Jester hat Rosalind….lol
I wondered about those electronic cigarettes. I never really understood what they were for.
The icing on the cake will be if they have an affiliate program 🙂 Maybe that link in your post is one, but I did not check it out. The main thing is that it brings you a step in the right direction. Maybe one day, you will be ready to say goodbye to the electronic version as well. As I have learned in the last 2 years…..without good health, everything else is irrelevant.
Rosalind Gardner says
Hi Lynn,
You’re right. I probably should have worn the jester hat for that one. 🙂
If I read you right, I take it that things aren’t exactly as they should be for you healthwise? Hope you are on the road to recovery!
Cheers,
Ros

Hi Ros. Thanks for sharing this information. I know two people who very much want to quit and this could help them.
Your vid was great and you made me laugh with your fake coughing! I’m a quitter for 21 years and that is something I sometimes feel like doing when I go into a smoke-filled room. :o)
Good luck with it!
Lynne
Rosalind Gardner says
Thanks Lynne and I’m thrilled that you’re going to share the good news! 🙂

Thanks Rosalind!
I’m “on the mend” so to speak, but still struggle with unexpected health challenges. This is why I’m working to be self-sufficient from home. I can work for an employer when I never know when I will get dizzy. Neck issues in the C1 region cause me neurological issues. I have to keep my neck in alignment to prevent this. I cannot do this often enough because treatments cost $$$. Terrible predicament, but many others have much worse issues.
I’m thankful that I can try my hand at affiliate marketing and hopefully replace my long lost paychecks.
BTW……..I came across the longest article about e-cigs. http://www.aolnews.com/health/article/your-kids-buy-e-cigs-do-you-know-whats-in-them/19633977
Feel free to remove the link if you like. I just did not know how else to share it with you. Very interesting stuff.

“I can work for an employer when I never know when I will get dizzy.”
I meant “Can’t”
Incidentally, it was my wonderful “job” or jobs over the years that caused the neck issues……Call Centers are BRUTAL places to work both physically and emotionally. You are not allowed to get up and down when you want. My doctor reminds me all the time that even at home, I HAVE TO get up from the computer and move around every 30 minutes.

Hi Ros
Happy New Year!
Just going through some of your old posts and saw this one.
The BIG question – how is it going? Are you still vaping? I gave up a few years ago – just stopped, on a bet with a friend – I won! Really miss the awful habit and have promised myself I will start again when I am 83!
best
penny
Rosalind Gardner says
Hi Penny,
Happy New Year to you as well.
Congratulations on your quit success. I’ve found that if I can get outdoors easily, I still choose ‘real’ cigarettes… but the e-cigs were great on those long flights in November to Europe and the Middle East. I know.. it’s a choice. Throw out the bad ones, stick with the good. 🙂
Cheers,
Ros

Hi Rosalind,
I’m a non-smoker but I can appreciate the difficulty for a smoker to quit on his own. Like any habit you want to lose, you have to go at it gradually. I think that the e-cigarette is the perfect tool for a smoker, but it cannot remain as another crutch. It should be a period of transition to becoming a non-smoker.
What do we wish people on New Year? Health, happiness and prosperity. Without the first one, the second one doesn’t exist and the third one is useless. Take care.

Hey Ros,
I had wondered whether these e-cigs would work. But after reading this thread I still come back to my original thoughts that if we are going to quit then it just has to be cold turkey.
Ouch!… reality bites. I’m going for a cig now…

I’m wondering if you have quit yet. Nicotine and all. Maybe I missed the post here but if you haven’t quite let me tell you that life is much sweeter without being dependent on anything at all.
I smoked for 16+ years and had a hell of a time to quit smoking, like everyone else in this world! I would buy a pack just for one cigarette and then throw the pack away! Talk about money down the drain!
In any case, the book by Allen Carr – ‘The easy way to quit smoking’ was what finally made me quit. Within hours of finishing the book I had no desire for a cigarette. The book appeals to your common sense about smoking and what it actually does for you. Essentially you can’t not ‘get it’ after reading the book and you realize how useless smoking really is.
Smoking – It does nothing for you except give you another dose of nicotine.
It doesn’t make you happier, calmer, energized or anything else. You do all that on your own AFTER you get your does of nicotine that stands in the way of getting all those things instantly.
Anywase, no need to go on about smoking and the reasons the book works. It helped me quit. And if you or anyone reading this wants to quit I highly recommend the book.
Rosalind Gardner says
Hi Bellaisa,
Thank you so much for sharing information about the book by Allen Carr. I’ll definitely pick it up and hope others do as well, based on your very thoughtful recommendation.
BTW, congratulations for getting your life back – free of nicotine! Way to go!
Cheers,
Ros

Hi Ros,
I have been following you for quite some time now. Bought your first program a couple years ago. Just bought your newest one. I am a huge fan of yours! Anyway, wanted to know how it was going with the E Cigs. Has it helped you? I have tried Chantix……quit for about 3 months. This was 4 years ago. Then we had a death in our immediate family. Went back to smoking as we didn’t know how to handle that kind of stress. I am going to order them off your website but was curious as to how you like them.
Thanks,
Linda
Rosalind Gardner says
Hi Linda,
Sorry for the uber-late reply!!
The ecigs are great if you use them. I’m kinda off and on and need to make another commitment to ONLY use them again soon. Don’t know why I didn’t stick with it, ’cause they really do satisfy the cravings.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Ros
