The good folks at Affiliate.com sent out the following reminder this week to affiliates.
In our ongoing efforts to keep you up-to-date regarding important developments within the industry, we wanted to provide you with a brief reminder about some new standards the FTC put into place with regard to marketing of “Free Credit Reports.”
Effective April 1, 2010, the FTC requires all marketers of offers involving credit report offers to make the following changes.All marketers using the words “free credit report” in any creative (text ad, banner, landing page, email subject line, etc.) must include a large and prominent disclosure across the top of each page mentioning “free credit reports” that states:
THIS NOTICE IS REQUIRED BY LAW.
