After using the light-weight built-in vacuum system for 40 minutes to clean the almost 4,000 square foot multiple-level maze of carpets, hardwood, tile and vinyl flooring that is my house — and working up a major sweat in the process, I decided I’d had enough of vacuuming.
I should also mention that I didn’t do a spectacular job of vacuuming. It apparently takes 3 to 4 passes to recover most of the debris and 7 full passes if you want to pick up all the dirt. I didn’t even come close.
So, after storing the monster hose on its reel in the cleaning closet, I headed to Amazon to read research robotic vacuums.
I started reading about Roomba, the only brand-name of robotic vacuums with which I was familiar.
I am SO glad I read those reviews!
After an hour of considering pros and cons, there was no doubt in my mind that the right choice for me was the iClebo YCR-M05-10 Arte Smart Home/Office Vacuum Cleaner and Floor Mopping Robot
I’ve had it for almost 2 weeks now and I am so impressed with its functionality.

- is quiet
- cleans methodically
- does NOT get hung up on stuff
- works and works until it gets tired and then goes back to base to re-charge itself
I am not at all surprised that the Iclebo won 1st place at the German Cleaning Robot Performance Test.
Granted, my dog, Jasper wasn’t so impressed with ‘Bo’, our Iclebo, when it first showed up.
Fortunately, I only had to tell Jasper to leave ‘Bo’ alone once during the intial session and the barking ceased. He (Jasper) now completely ignores Bo.
Anyway, I’d definitely recommend the iClebo YCR-M05-10 Arte Smart Home/Office Vacuum Cleaner and Floor Mopping Robot
