A new report from search engine marketing services provider SearchIgnite indicates that U.S. paid search spending increased 11% in the first quarter of 2010 compared with the same period in 2009, marking the strongest quarter for paid search since the fourth quarter of 2008.
Another report by Efficient Frontier, a search engine marketing firm, indicates even greater growth with retail search spending jumping 32% in the first quarter of 2010, compared with the same period last year.
While Google still holds the #1 position in paid search, both reports indicate that the Bing search engine share of retail advertisers is increasing.
