I never fully appreciated “the dog ate my homework” excuse until just a few days ago when Jasper chewed up my power supply.
I felt bad enough being out of contact for days at a time during our cross-country roadtrip and camping in areas which had no Internet access, but to have the dog chew the power supply cord within moments of finally picking up a wireless connection almost sent me around the bend.
Until I looked at the cute puppy…
Anyway, the next time you’re looking for an excuse for not having your homework done, or not getting in touch with people, just tell ’em that the dog ate your power supply. 🙂

LOL! Jasper, you’re soo cute you can eat my power supply any time. 🙂 And hey Ros… one of my favorite sayings “If you’re lucky enough to be in the mountains, you’re lucky enough” (even if you don’t have internet or power LOL). Hope you enjoy the rest of your road trip. 🙂

Nikki,
Being in Toronto at the moment, I couldn’t agree more with “If you’re lucky enough to be in the mountains, you’re lucky enough”. Miss home. But puppy is keeping me entertained and that is MORE than good enough. 🙂
Hope you’re doing great!

Ouch!
Well, judging by the picture he looks pretty well “connected”!
That is so beautiful – where was the pic taken?
Cheers,
Brian

Hi Brian,
The pic was taken in Idaho at the Old Mission State Park. It IS beautiful there indeed!

Aww, look at that punum!!
No way I could get mad at him. But if my dog ate my power supply I’d definitely be a but annnoyed!
How far into Idaho is that? I never though I’d visit Idaho but a couple of years ago I was living in Nelson and it was an easy weekend destination.
British Expat says
Glad that your dog is okay. Did he chewed on it while it’s plugged in or not?
PLR Products says
Lol!! thats what exactly happened to me also..But it was my internet cable being chewed by my dog!! Worse than your’s it took me a long tme to access on the internet again…Crazy!!!
Livia says
That’s the best answer by far! Thanks for contrtbiuing.

Hey Ros & Ed!
Home misses you too. Most of May and the first half of June has been cooler and moist, which lowers the forest fire risks this summer and our lawns look nice and lush 🙂
I just returned from 2 weeks on Vancouver Island– so beautiful and am i ever grateful that we live in this province and wonderful valley.
Jasper looks like he’s growing by the day– Soon he’ll eat you out of house and motorhome!
Okay, we’ll see you soon.
Safe travels.

well nice thing. I am thinking to use this excuse “The dog ate my power supply” in my office . Really amazing story.
Viviane says
I’m afraid you’re missing the point entirely, Ros: Jasper wants his very own website! Don’t forget, you’re his pack – share & share alike…
Gorgeous photo, a definite contest winner. Amber says hello, and sorry to have missed Jasper when you went through Toronto. Next time, call ahead and she’ll take him through the 500 acre conservation area just around the corner and show him her favorite spots.
Rosalind Gardner says
Trust me, Vivianne, I’ve already considered it, giving Jasper his own site. But not sure I can do another blog… although that would probably be the most fun! For now, he’ll have to deal with having his own space on Roamsters.
As for T.O. we did Marie Curtis Park, where he went for his first swim in Lake Ontario.
Tell ya, this dog has seen more in 4 months, than most see in a lifetime!!
Cheers,
Ros
