I spoke at Affiliate Summit West 2010 in Las Vegas over the weekend and flew home yesterday out of McCarran International Airport.
It was the first time I’d seen a full body scanner at security.
Well, not only did I have to go through the scanner, but because of the very thin J. Jill top sweater that I was wearing, I also got what I will forever think of as the “McCarran massage”.
I was escorted into the room that you see in the foreground of the picture above by a female security guard who first explained the process to me in detail.
Basically, she patted down just about every inch of my body looking for, well, whatever she was looking for.
As an ex-air transportation professional, I have no objection to any process intended to make air travel safer.
And to be honest, after 3 long days of travel and conventioning, I was in such need of a good massage that I could have stood there for much longer getting my arms and legs squeezed and back rubbed. 🙂

Good for you! I too believe security is #1 and I hadn’t thought of it as a massage before but is now something to look forward to.
