A mile east of the junction of Highway 97 and SR14 in Washington State at Maryhill, stands a concrete replica of Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England.
Sitting on a cliff overlooking the Columbia River, the monument was built by Sam Hill in 1918 to comemorate the men of Klickitat County who lost their lives in World War 1.
Just down the hill from the monument is Sam Hill’s crypt.
