On returning to Canada after learning that I had lesions on both my lungs and probably had cancer, I immediately phoned my doctor’s office to book an appointment, which they had refused to make when Ed phoned them and explained the issue.
Fortunately, the appointment was made for the next day, July 26th, 2019.
Unfortunately, my doctor was away, so the appointment was with my doctor’s locum.
She, after reading the files that I’d brought back from Thailand, pronounced the worst of possible outcomes… that I was absolutely done for.
Based on her brief reading of my x-ray and CT-scan files, she told us that the cancer had likely already spread to my bones and that there would be no cure.
Ed and I left the office in tears, feeling absolutely defeated.
Despite the horrific probabilities, the doomsday doctor requisitioned tests and appointments, including a bone scan, brain scan, and other tests… too bad she forgot the necessary CT-scan.
Just sayin’.
